Collector’s Editions

Ridan has been watching your response to the announcement of getting the books in print and they’re floating the idea of putting out a special, hard cover, limited edition run. The price will be pretty high (I don’t know how high yet, but I’d guess around $30-$35) but we’re thinking something like running 100 of them and putting them up as signed, numbered, limited editions.

How many of you would want to buy one of those?

  1. Nate says:

    Thanks.

I’ve left room in the story lines – I just don’t know how they’ll be woven in, or when.

  2. Tim says:

Yes – please (to the signed hardcover). Like many others here, I’d sign up to buy signed, hardcopies of all of the ‘Wang” series….Congratulations on the contract….

  3. Alex says:

I also wanted to have the stories filled in, and then I tried South Coast and now I am willing to just see where Nate wants to take us! While I wouldn’t mind revisiting those times, I am looking forward to new characters also. Thanks Nate.

  4. Gord says:

Yes, I would like a copy also!
And Thank you for sharing your work.

  5. Count me in too, Nathan!

  6. Garrett says:

Sounds like a deal to me, I would love a hardcover copy!

  7. Sean Caolan says:

I am very excited about the collectors addition. I have turned on so many people to the “Shares” and would buy one for myself and one or two more as presents for some of your newest fans. Keep us informed as to the particulars of the release and how to order them. Looking forward to Owners Share and Ravenwood 2. Thanks again for the escape. Sean

  8. Bit late to the party on this – but yep, I’d want one!

  9. Stan says:

I’m looking forward to having signed hardback editions of the whole series sitting on my bookcase.

  10. Peter says:

Another one for the collectors edition please, not sure at what point $35 counts as expensive for a special addition, twice the cost would be fine to be honest.

  11. Nate says:

That was a ballpark number and we’ll have to see what happens when the proof hits the page in terms of page count.

I’m hoping it wont be TOO expensive.

  12. Christine Maia-Fleres says:

I would love to have a copy! It looks as though you’re going to have to at least double the run, though!

  13. Lisa says:

I’ll take one too, but you have to promise to keep podcasting… Your voice soothes me to sleep each night : )

  14. Nate says:

    Oh yeah.

Podcasting will always be a part of the mix.

  15. J. Bray says:

  20. Mike says:

Where do I sign The Articles? (eg. Please, a special edition at that price is a great value)

  21. megan says:

Please add me to your list as well! I have really enjoyed all of your work and would really appreciate the opportunuty to own a real dead tree version.

  22. You’d better get them to print more than 100. I’m definitely in for a signed limited edition.

    Jeff

  23. Curtis says:

I would be a very proud owner. I have listened to all of the books many times and when ever I have a long drive they are what makes the time fly by.

  24. Shawn Nelson says:

I would love a hard bound version of this book. Though I’m late to comment. I will be looking for your book on amazon none the less.

  25. Nate says:

The books are still available for now.

Order thru Ridan, they’ll send the inscription requests to me, and I’ll send them out from here.

  26. Joe C says:

I would really enjoy a hardcover set or compendium of all the Golden Age books. ($80 – $120?)

  27. Nate says:

    That’s an interesting idea, Joe.

When we get the other books lined up we’ll see about maybe making an omnibus edition or something.

The plan is to produce all the Share books in matching hardcover editions so you’ll be able to add to your collection as each one rolls out.

Beyond that, the “boxed set” really needs a box :D
