Springtime In The Rockies

It’s snowing. Go figure.

I was reminded that I’ve not updated this site in quite awhile so here’s where we are:

I’m working on Cape Grace. It’s going well when it’s moving. Some days it doesn’t move.

I’ve got three new Ishmael books and three non-Ishmael books on my To Be Written list. They’ll be along after I get Cape Grace out.

I’m still planning on recording all my books. At the moment I’m two books down (the last two Tanyth Fairport Adventures) and with Cape Grace, that’ll make three. I have no idea where the time will come from to make all this happen.

Sorry that I’ve let this blog slide so long. I was shocked to see how long it’s been since I posted something here. I try to put an update up on NathanLowell.com every month and I’m still struggling to get myself out on the daily walk and talk. These last few weeks have been difficult but I’m cautiously optimistic that I’ll get that back on track.

Compared to the beginning of 2014, things are going better…but better still leaves a lot of room for improvement.

Here’s hoping that the spring weather will put some spring back in my step – and in my writing. :)

South Coast

South Coast Cover
Yes, it’s finally available in text. It’s up on Kindle, Kobo and Nook now. I have the paperback halfway done but I’m running out of time on the Trader’s Tales galleys so I need to focus on getting those marked up and out ASAP.

I haven’t forgotten the podcast of the second two Tanyth books, either. :)

MileHi Here I Come

I kept wondering why everybody was leaving comments on the Derelict post … then I realized I hadn’t left a new post here since June.

Yikes. Sorry about that.

If you missed the news, I was diagnosed with ADD the week before my 62nd birthday. It was rather a shock but the good news is that it’s broken the logjam.

Since that time I’ve converted and ordered the galley proofs for

Double Share
Captain’s Share
Owner’s Share
Ravenwood

Only two books left to convert but they’ll have to wait until next week. I’m taking the paperback Double Share with me to mark up during the convention (assuming I get some time to tome) and my goal is to clear all this old work away by year end. It has to go before I can focus on new stuff. Every time I try to write something I look at the board and get blown off course.

The answer is “Clear it.”

So it goes. In January I’ll be Guest of Honor at COSine down in Colorado Springs but today I’m off to MileHiCon and the first time I’ve been out of town since last MileHi.

You have no idea how much I need this.

I’ll try to post more often to keep everybody in the loop. I just need to get the task added to my To Do list…

Derelict

Yes, that’s how I feel these days. Between being sick and dealing with illness in the family, it’s been hard to find the umph to push new stuff out.

But L. J. Cohen has a great new book out, Derelict. I read a piece of this last year and was honored to provide some marketing blurbage earlier this spring. It’s out now and I can highly recommend it.

Grab a sample and see if you agree.

Now, I need to get back to getting better.

Old Hickory Lane

While you’re waiting for me to get the next book out…

A colleague has released Old Hickory Lane on Amazon. (Sorry Kobo and B&N folks. It’s in Select for the moment.)

I had the opportunity to proof read this one a few weeks back and it’s top notch. It’s more fantasy than SF but it’s the same kind of coming of age story that I know many of you enjoy.

If you’ve a mind to, why don’t you grab a sample and see if it’s something you’d like?

Lemme know what you think – and whether you want me to keep recommending stuff that I think some of you will enjoy.

In the meantime, safe voyage.
