Face Lift

I’ve done this piece-meal for the last few months — adding and subtracting, messing about with look and feel. The time has come for some serious face lifting here so you can expect things to change around a little.

One thing that’s changed is the title. Trader’s Diary made a certain sense when I was only doing the Trader’s Tales but now that those books are finished, I thought it was time to go a bit more meta and capture the feel of the larger body. Since this is my diary of the Golden Age of the Solar Clipper, it made sense to bring the title more in line with the URL. This should serve whether I’m working on Shaman’s Tales, or Explorer’s Tales, or the Life and Times of Captain Ishmael Wang.

I’m working on a theme for this new look and I’ll have some samples for you to look at and talk about in a few days.

I like “The Golden Age” because it immediately harkens “when is the golden age” All of your tails could be a Golden Age of one kind or another.

Wen well I see Doule Share?

  5. The Captain says:

Probably about the same time I do, Robert. Full Share showed up on Amazon before I saw the galley proofs.

Ridan has had my edits since early July. They’re saying October now. I suspect that there will be at least two more rounds of edits before that actually happens (historically we go back and fourth three times before we get a text we agree on).

It’s out of my hands at the moment.

  6. The Captain says:

    Thanks, Paul.

The Golden Age of the Solar Clipper is a great tag for almost anything … Shaman’s Tales, Explorer’s Tales, Merchant’s Tales … I changed it for “Tales from the Deep Dark” because those stories will be less about the sailing and more about what happens out there beyond the Burleson limit.
