I was taken completely by surprise when the Parsec Award for Best Story (Long Form) went to Captain’s Share. I’m still not quite grokking it because I was so certain that the field would leave me standing on the sidelines again and I was already aiming for next year with Owner’s Share.
Thanks to all who supported my work over the years and I’m looking forward to many more years of podcast novels.

Well deserved Nate and long overdue. The share series has literally kept me sane and not walking out the first airlock I came to. My wife was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer in march and through the surgery and months of complications with daily trips to the hospital I lost myself again in Ish’s story and the world you have created. I would listen when times were really bleak and the message of hope and “trust Lois” took on a really personal note with me. Hope and trust are such important parts of our lives and sometimes we forget that. It’s sad that we only remember that during crisis and adversaries. Again, thank you for your stories and the message that they give. Btw, she is doing much better and the prognosis is good.
Wellll that took them long enough. We put you up for it last year (Captain)!! Congratulations Nate, well deserved. About those dead tree versions, I prefer reading/listening on my peta (iTouch) or Tablet (iPad) so electronic release will do just fine for me.

Congrats Nate! I am a voracious consumer of audiobooks/(podiobooks)/books, and there is no doubt that your writing is among the best I have ever read (listened to). I rarely re-listen to audiobooks, but I think I’ve heard all of the “Shares” several times over. The Parsec is a well deserved tribute to one of the hardest working authors in the podiosphere.
We’re all waiting with great anticipation the release of “Owner’s Share.”
I stumbled across the Share series while looking for something inexpensive to put on my Kindle and fell in love with Quarter Share. I had never listened to podcast, didn’t now what it was, or how it worked, but the need to hear your series charted a whole new course for me. Captain’s Share is very deserving of the award and I congratulate you for it. I’m looking forward to listening to Owner’s Share.
