Keeping in mind that things periodically change, currently we have a production schedule for my books.

Audio Works:
Avempartha (By Michael Sullivan) – Orbit contract. Not happening.
Cape Grace – (Still writing)
Zypheria’s Call – 2012 (NaNoWriMo 2011. Fingers crossed)
Text Formats Schedule (Print and Electronic):
Published May 2, 2012 – Double Share
Sometime in 2012 – Captain’s Share
Sometime in 2012 – Owner’s Share
August 2012 Released as self-pub Oct, 2011 – Ravenwood
December 2012 Unknown – South Coast
April 2013 Unknown – Cape Grace
Things are in such flux that it’s difficult to predict schedule with any degree of accuracy. This list represents my best guess on the day it’s posted.
I’m not sure I understand the question, Eamon.
Avempartha not going forward with Orbit?
It’s published already … and no, the publisher required the previous book to come off the site and to produce no more.
It’s because they’re selling the audiobook version
re: Avempartha
I didn’t mean that they hadn’t published or planned to publish the book itself, but that there were, unfortunately, no plans to have you do the audiobook. After hearing your narration, I actually picked up the whole set(some from Ridan, some from Orbit.
Sorry for the confusion!
Just finished first 4 books, can I get an update on availability dates for Captain’s Share and Owner’s share? Love the books!
You mentioned that you might be writing a book concerning the further adventures of Capt. Wong. Is that still in the works for this year?
No, Richard. I’m not releasing ANY projected dates.
I’ll tell you when it’s available, but I’ve been burned too often to put my hand back in that fire and make any predictions on when the next books might be out.
I’m planning another trilogy. I doubt that it’ll get out this year.
There are still two books in the first series that need to get published first and I’ve got two books in the fantasy universe already underway. The next adventures of Ishmael Wang will be coming. Just .. not sure exactly when.
Loved the Solar Clipper series. I’m just about finished my 3rd re-read. I greatly look forward to the rest of the series. Sorry to read about you getting burned, an author such as yourself is a treasure and should be treated as such.
Cape Grace? What could this be? Second book in the shaman series?
Yes. Yes, it could.
I love your books Mr Lowell, any idea on how accurate the dates amazon has up for captain’s and owner’s is sir?
I see Amazon has “Captain’s Share” up for a September 1 release. Paperback only so far. No ebook.
Oops, sorry. September 1 seems to be Ridan’s “date of convenience” for Amazon pre-orders. The following disclaimer is now attached:
“PLEASE NOTE: This book is being added for pre-order purposes and the actual date has yet to be determined. We (the publisher) are still waiting on a final manuscript from the author, and will update the release date as we know more. Please keep in mind that this is an arbitrary date at this point”
Yeah.
September 1 … We’re not going to meet that deadline. In large part because Ridan hasn’t sent me back any edits to approve.
Oct 1, 2012 is just around the corner. Still nothing firm on the next books?
=
You noticed that, huh?
Nothing I can say in public, altho there’s much I’d like to say.
Captain, I think we are all feeling your pain, having to wait as do you. Thanks for the great stories so far!
I love the Ravenwood book. Please; when will we see more of dear Tanyth?
Zypheria’s Call was published to Kindle yesterday. I’ll get other versions up as soon as I can.
Thanks for the tip off, Captain. I’ve just downloaded Zypheria’s Call to my Kindle and can’t wait to start reading. Looking forward to the Share books coming out under your own wing too. Great call, to set out on your own.
I see Captain’s Share is out in Podcast but no print edition or Kindle yet. Any update?
Yes. The podcast is actually a couple of years old now … And I put up a post with the current status of things.
CS just came back from the editor and I’m still a couple books behind on addressing all the editorial updating (typos etc) that I’m stomping out with the re-releases.
“Soon as I can” is the best answer I have.
Dear Captain,
“Soon as I can” is not enough anymore, I’m afraid. Much as I like your work, I REALLY can’t understand why the last two books of the Solar Clipper have not yet been published! It’s not as if you have to write them – in that case I could understand creative difficulties and delays… But we’re talking about the works that were completed years ago!
I’m just about ready to give up on your books – my understanding was that once you took control of the publishing process, things would get moving. Instead, you’ve published other books and the “Captain’s Share” and the “Owner’s Share” are still in… , where EXACTLY are they????
Thanks for the update on CS. I like the way your stories are linear and don’t constantly switch perspectives.
I enjoy your stories tremendously.
@ Kartrait,
Given the number of venues this man’s work covers, I think he is doing a marvelous job. Listening to the Pod casts was a first for me. I found myself pleasantly surprised and would highly recommend the experience. If you can’t wait, then don’t wait.
Slow down. Take a deep breath. Forget about all the business details. Who can write while immersed in that kind of distraction! I don’t care what form your new stories are first published. I’ll take them
