2011 Parsec Winner

Here’s the thank you I sent to the Parsec Awards committee a couple of weeks ago. I had no idea if I would win or not so it was difficult to think of what to say.

My apologies for the buffer speed. This file is HUGE but as an AVI, I figure most of you can see it, even if it needs a while to download.

Didn’t you say before that this would now make you the first author with back-to-back Parsec wins? (Or just Long form back-to-back wins?)

  2. Dave says:

    Congrats on another win.

  3. David says:

    Congratulations!
(PS I’m not the same Dave as who just posted)

I’ve pondered many times why your books resonate with me. I think it is because some of us are fortunate in meeting others in our younger days who were happy to help the young see their full potential, a selfless act. Not everyone is so fortunate. In return I am happy to see others reach their full potential, it’s a part of who I am now. It resonates. It is also a story full of adventure without massive violence. Great dialog without profanity. It is an art-form, a orchestra of time, sound and place. You are the Maestro. Congratulations!

Thank you, Nathan, for sharing with us your universe, your walks and your wonderful person. Your “simple” stories are much more than that to me.
Je vous embrasse très fort. Lucie
