Ravenwood: A Tanyth Fairport Adventure

Coming soon January 4, 2010 to Podiobooks.com.
Tanyth Fairport makes one last pilgrimage in her quest to learn all she can about the herbs and medicinal plants of Aerony before settling down to write her magnum opus. When her trip is interrupted to help a small village, she learns that much of what she knows of the world may not be quite as it seems.
The mad month of November is winding down and the next book is on the horizon. This is NOT another science fiction novel set in the Golden Age of the Solar Clipper, but a Fantasy set in a whole new world. Stay tuned for adventure.
[UPDATE 11/28/09: At 113k words, the first draft is done. I'm probably gonna rest my brain pan and look for music for the podcast tomorrow, then start the second draft. Stay tuned.]
[UPDATE: 11/29/09: New cover art]
[UPDATE: 12/15/09: Second draft done. Release date set]

My ears are perked up for this. I’m very interested to see (hear) what direction your writing talents have taken you in this time, Mr. Lowell.

when I think of fantasy I think of Celtic music. I found this album which is the same cc license as your stories. Some of the songs were quite good. http://www.jamendo.com/en/album/34240

What a great answer to the question: “I wonder if Nathan is participating in NaNoWriMo?”
thanks again. I’m going to appreciate it.

I am certain that, as ever, the writing will be sound, the story intriguing, and the podcast an auditory delight. I look forward with eagerness and appreciation for these gifts you give to all your readers, and of course with gratitude as well. Thank you for continuing to be one of my favorite contemporary authors, for being so very prolific, and for your generosity in sharing with those of us who lack the financial means (for now!) to show you our appreciation in a more tangible way.

As long as Nate’s writing contains his sense of humor and wit, any story he has time to dispense to the masses is sure to be devoured by us(the greedy vultures who call ourselves fans). Lets face it, if Nate was to record stories on a daily basis, we would still moan that it is not enough.

I am a new at this. i just bought my first ipod and Quarter Share was my first download. These stories are wonderful. I have all the others and am waiting like a small child for Santa. Hope all is well in your universe and keep the sails unfurled !

The only way I think we could be satisfied is if we were hooked up to a live feed with Nate just telling stories all day. And since we aren’t all in the same time zone that would mean he would have to be reading 24 hours a day everyday. Hmm, maybe someone should make a robot to do that for him. Just as long as it sounds like him and tells good stories. But then it would probably have to pass the turing test first.

I just finished Ravenwood and will be re-playing almost immediately. Thank you again Mr. Lowell.
Sign me up for the dead tree edition boxed set of the Golden Age series! Please write more of Tanath’s world. There are few books featuring a mature woman protagonist, fewer still that speak on herbalism and pioneer wisdom. Other than through podiobooks.com (which I adore and financially support), is there a way to support you, and perhaps your day job…?

Just keep spreading the word, Anne.
The more people who try it, the more people who’ll find something they like.
Thanks for asking.
The day job looks ilke it’s going to lose its funding after a 13 year run, and I’m a bit bummed, but I’ve more irons in the fire than i have hands to handle them, so … I’m cautiously optimistic. Worst case, I have to stay home and write full time
