You’ve been very patient. The status:
I’ve written five chapters, but Day Job has been too invasive with many things getting between me and your next book.
That’s the bad news. The good news is that I’ve worked out a deal with my boss to take 2 days a week off from Day Job so I can dedicate the time to writing. My plan now is to finish all three of the remaining “Share” novels by Labor Day.
I’m going to go thru my email and find all the graphics I haven’t posted and I’ll get those into the gallery tomorrow if nothing else breaks between now and then. And I’ll announce the winners this weekend.
Last and probably least, I’ll be at Balticon over Memorial Day weekend and looking forward to meeting some of you there and playing fanboy with some of the other podcast novelists who will be attending.
There IS still more news that I can’t share, but on the horizon I’ve got:
1. A “voice talent” gig with an Australian author – Geoff Maloney – doing the audiobook version of his upcoming anthology “Six Silly Stories” which will be released later this year in the UK.
2. A contribution to a “best of the pod” short story anthology in the works from Dragon Moon Press.
3. There is a press considering Quarter Share for paper publication. I’ll let ya know if/when it gets picked up.
4. I’m in discussion with JC Hutchins to make some Trader’s Tales ring tones. That’s just starting up so we’ll see where that goes.
In the meantime, if you’re looking for something good to listen to, try Joe Cottonwood’s Clear Heart. Joe and I have a lot in common in our writing, except he’s really good. I think you’ll enjoy learning about carpentry as much as about shipboard life.
Thanks for being patient, shipmates.
