I think that those cards look good. Mini CD's might not work in ALL players. Something to keep in mind. But they are cute. :)

FWIW:
I bought my mom a portable DVD player to listen to podcasts, (and to view pictures) as she refuses to use a computer. One of the reasons I bought it was to send her pictures of the grandkids, and to also share some of the podcast books that I enjoy. I know that Sigler and Hutchins aren't going to fit her style. But, you, do. And you do in SPADES. She made it to about the forth or fifth podcast and she was just elated at your stuff. As always, your sense of humor, characters, and story line just won mom over. I'll have send her South Coast, as I don't know if she has that one too.

My mom is a retired teacher, and is a HUGE J.K. Rowling fan. - With the huge success of such stories as Harry Potter, Star Wars, and a few others, it's obvious to me that a "G" or "PG" story line can simply be enjoyed by a wider audience...

I know, Os. That's what I'm thinking, too. I'm going to a "day job" convention this week in Orlando (see the Out and About Page for other travels) and i'm taking some of the cards to hand out ... but I really need to consider putting up a sample disk for Balticon.

Card wording is wonderful and attention getting. I've never been to a Con but if the CDs are the "more popular" (quoting WNDRWolf here), maybe that should be taken into consideration despite the "Hassle Factor"

Those cards look impressive.
When I went to the Conestoga here in Tulsa. I burned CDs (mainly for authors as a tool for promotion and how I can help...) Put the extras on the give away table. I also made up business cards for obvious reasons the CDs were more popular but the cards were easier to handle... Your card there looks just beautiful.

Doesn't it need your name and contact details on the card?

I was considering running up a full sized CD to hand out. They're stupidly cheap but they don't fit in a pocket and they get bulky. And the labels are a pain.

But this business card CD seems like an interesting idea!

Did you consider making CD business cards? They'll hold 50MB, enough for a chapter, or a few samples. Google turned up a few in the first page of my search: http://www.google.co.uk/search?q=business+card+cd&start=0
