I have just recently discovered podiobooks and have come across your series ... I have become hooked on the trader series. I have an idea for a salvage vessel name ... Astrum Anguilla (astrum is latin for star and anguilla is the genus name for the american eel. Eels recycle dead creatures in the oceans and rivers .. a star eel would be good for recycling (salvaging) vessels in space ...

I am looking forward to finishing half share and full share and in the future following Ishmael in Double Share.

Hey, how about "Macbeth's Toil and Trouble" or the 'Macbeth' for short/pooka referance. I think salavage and "Toil and Trouble" would go along well together :)

ok Im going back to Lois is a person from our future and his past history remembers people for a short time unless they become legion so far the nomenclatures i notice in the ship names is for freighters, A salvage? (back to that) ship type might have a different nomenclature but sailors are very superstitious type and ... a name after any prev ship especially after it sank sounds bad. next Salvage ? if they stay on the straight and narrow they don't have much to fear (just safety equipment !), but should something go wrong they might get off the beaten path. Then a salvage vessel would leave the beaten path to bring back "salvage", after some deep astronomical sensing or something to find where they (the lost ship) went. Unless its a search, rescue and salvage then they might "boldly go" after a wayward ship, asteroid or other vessel. ok so Im trying to keep it short and not saying everything. I hope you get my drift. latter

Hey Nate,

Got a couple of suggestions that I think I may have thrown at you over Twitter, but thought I'd formalize them here.

1) The Coelacanth - pronounced 'See la canth' - It was a large fish thought to be extinct for years and then suddenly reappeared. The word is Greek and means 'Hollow-Spine' which I thought describes a salvage ship as it would have all that storage space.

2) The Fisgard - This is a squadron in the Royal Navy that trains engineers, as Ish is training I thought this might be a subtle nod.

3) The Carillon - This is actually the heaviest musical instrument in the world and can weigh up to 100 tons.

4) The Clifford J Rodgers - This was the first purpose built container ship using the intermodal container system. Now someone please shoot me for finding that out when I should have been working!

5) The London - Hey, it's my home and sounds dead cool!

I Drive a 18 wheeler in the northeast USA. I have listened to each book at least 14 times. Many ship names are very good, but how much help did you need for the first 3 books they all show real talent. you don't need help, but thanks for involving us. many ship names are determined by the category of size. Lois was a special leader of their past and our future. sorry more latter typing in the dark

I'm leaving this open ... heck, I'm about three weeks behind just posting the new artwork that everybody's sending. Last week killed me because I was traveling on RL business and I'm still recovering.
