Logo Design
In the next book, Ishmael goes to work for Diurnia Freight and Salvage Diurnia Salvage and Transport. As much fun as I had designing the Federated Freight “Double F” logo, seems to me I oughta let you all have a go at coming up with something appropriate for the new logo.
Email them to me and I’ll post a gallery of the best here on this thread.
Some design considerations.
- Simpler is better.
- I like good typography.
- It has to work in gray-scale.
Update: If I pick your design, I’ll name a ship for you in the next book. (Thanks for the idea, Fraser!)

Diurnia is a sector in the Western Annex. You’ll find the Diurnia sector on the Western Annex Map, three sectors southeast of the Dunsany Roads sector.
Some of you may remember a significant fact about Diurnia from Quarter Share.

Does this mean Ish’s father is going to make an appearance? It may be a big galaxy, but Pip still managed to run into his aunt and uncle on one of the stations.

Did you have a color scheme in mind for Diurnia S&T? Like the ‘Green and Gold’ of Federated Freight? That would help with making designs.

I would like to point out, that after I saw your comment about there being some information about Diurnia in Quarter Share I went back to find it. It was pretty much in the first 5 minutes. But instead of stopping there I was stuck again and had to listen to the whole series over a 4th or 5th time (I lost count). I just finished Full Share again 10 minutes ago. Thanks for turning me into an addict Nate, if Double Share is even half as good as your first 4 books, I may have to join AA!
