South Coast Shaman
One of the things that I wanted to do this year was enter the National Novel Writing Month. Given how quickly I wrote the first three books, at least in draft, it seemed a perfect way to get motivated to give you some new content. Unfortunately, one of the rules is that you can’t start writing until the first day of November and I’d already started Double Share.
So, just to sort of “cleanse the palette” and to give you all someting a little different, I started the South Coast Shaman. This book will be different because it’s not on the Lois, doesn’t have Ishmael and Pip, and really only has one character in it that you know. More over, it’s not a first-person point of view, so the plots can be threaded and twisted in different ways, and it’s more of an action story than you’re used to getting from me.
As of today, I’ve finished the first 12,000 words. If I stay on track here, we’ll have a new book by the end of November which means new Podiobook content in December.
I’m hoping you’re all gonna get a little gift for the holidays.

me and my wife are so excited. We were worried that it was going to be mid-2008 before we got new content. Thank you so much.

42,000+ and counting! Too early to say if it’s going to be the same length as the Trader’s Tales, but it’s coming together. Only a few more days of writing!
Early feedback from my private readers has been very positive!!

Ya Hoo! I was missing the series and stopped by for a look. Can’t wait to hear the audio version.

83,000 words and slowly dragging to an end. I was worried that it was going to be shorter than the other books, but I needn’t have been concerned.
Early reports are that this is the best one yet. That first chapter is still kinda ugly, but the REST of the book is shaping up nicely, if I do say so myself.
